... I just had the same procedure a few days ago and was told no relations with my hubby for three weeks! I am going to assume this means maybe tampons, too, anything in that area. You would probably need to call your doctor's office for clarification. They didn't say anything about exercise and I walked about 3 miles the day after and felt fine.

If the doctor does a colpocopy without a biopsy, then it should be a day or so (but check with the doctor to be sure). If the doctor does a biopsy with the colposcopy then it could be 2-4 weeks. It depends on how quickly you heal . . . and your doctor's directions.

... Yes, he took several biopsies. Mine was also a brownish discharge type thing. I had intercourse three days after I had it done which made it bleed pretty good. I went in early in the morning and they gave me the needle and put me under - I then woke up later and it was all over. I caught a bus home straight after that - and then a few hours later I worked.
