... OMG! You complain of severe periods and they want to do a hysterectomy? RUN as fast as you can from this doctor. That is no reason to do this. It may be that you need to lose that one ovary, but not your uterus too. Find a surgeon who is experienced in removing cysts and leaving the ovary in tact if at all possible. (3 replies)
