Hi karlee,
I used Fentanyl patches for 7 years and found for me that the Mylan generic brand adhered the most reliably, although sometimes the patch would loosen in the middle like Kate said. I would really press it down with my full palm when first applying it like gmak said, and then I got into the habit of "checking" the patch frequently throughout the day by pressing on it equally and fully with my whole palm. Kinda annoying but it helped keep it secured a bit better. I was "checking" and pressing on the patch for a good 30 sec (once it was on) at least every hour. I found the Teva brand didn't stick well at all. And the large gel filled ones (can't recall the brand) would start to loosen with any movement.
This is a problem for many people, I pray that you find the best method soon so you can get the full benefit of your medication!
