... Hey! I am having surgery on May 14th on my neck. The Doctor is doing a Cervical Infusion with titanium plate on c4-5 and 6 and 7. What will be the out come on this. I am a 41 year old female. (3 replies)

... his surgery and each one has done terrirfic. Of coarse they had some pain the first few weeks but after a month they were all doing very well. You have to wear a cervical collar for awhile in the beginning and you can't drive and you will need to rest, a lot. ... (3 replies)

... It's the mother here, it is NOT a fusion, absolutely not. I have nearly full movement of head in both directions, it is the up and down I have trouble with. The vert. cut into the spinal cord, severing some nerves, some repaired over 2 years, others have not. Dear kim1701, This forum would be a perfect place to come and share with us, an by us I mean most all who come to share on this pain management forum are dealing with debilitating pain to different degrees. Hi kim, There are alot of people on spinal cord disorders & back problems board as well as here on this board that have had alot of hardware type surgeries on their necks & spines that may have a similar experience with her surgery. ... check out the spinal cord board. Lots of people on that board have had the surgery. I had a fusion about 16 months ago. It did not go very well for me, but I have heard that the majority of people do very well afterward. I had excruciating pain for a year afterward that was not well controlled on any medication. ... The outcome is different for everyone. Some people come out pain free or lesser pain while others it does not help the pain whatsoever. I'm one where it did not help the pain whatsoever and I had my fusion 2 months ago. (3 replies)
