... When I "broke my tailbone" :eek: the doc explained that the three bottom bones are fused and that at the joint above the bone moves either forward or back. The fix for it is for it to go back in place. The skelaxin can relax the muscles and allow that to happen. Because of the pain you hold muscles tight trying to prevent it which defeats what needs to happen. If it doesn't... (5 replies)
... I have never fractured my tailbone, but I have been diagnosed with coccyxdynia(fancy word for tailbone pain) and the skelaxin didn't do a thing for the pain. I have a compounded topical med that works miracles for this pain. I am also on pain meds but sometimes even they don't touch my tailbone pain. This compound is great!!
