... Hey Tina, Proproxyphene (Darvocet) is much weaker than Hydrocodone (Vicodin). It is usually not even compared on a Equianalgesic chart to compare as it is not recommended for chronic pain. However I found a little info that puts it into perspective. Basically the chart I use shows 130mg-200mg of Proproxyphene the same as 30mg of Hydrocodone. So as you can see it is... (19 replies)

... Well, Vocodin and Percocet are similar (hydrodone vs. oxycodone) both w/ acetamenophin in them. Oxycodone being slightly stronger than the hydrocodone. From what I've experinced and heard...oxycodone can give you a slight 'cold/brain freeze' headache feeling when on them, and when they start wearing off. ... Hi Everyone, Thanks for your replies. The oxycontin I get is "brand".. My doctor writes "medically necessary" on the scripts to insure I get brand. I have already had a month of the generic "Teva" oxy in the past and that stuff was awful (that's a totally DIFFERENT thread tho!) The prescription bottle states "oxycontin 40 mg CR".
