Actualy although Opana is a new brand, oxymorphone has been around for over 60 years (Endo used to sell it under the brand name Numorphan) It is one of a host of semi synthetic opoids that were synthasised mainly in Germany before WWII, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, dihydrocodeine, oyxmorphone and others besides. ... Hi Brian, thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned my other meds - I do take Lyrica, 150mg, 2x/day (once in AM, once in PM) and Cymbalta (60mg in PM before bed). I have looked at the manufacturer's website and done lots of web research trying to figure out how the med is released, and can't find anything!
