As the others have stated, this medication is one of the strongest available, BUT it does take a few days (depending on the individual) for the fentanyl to get into your system. ... I was worried about my husband switching from the Duragesic to the Mylan, but after surviving the first few days with extreme dizziness, he now says that the Mylan's are fine. They are much smaller and stay stuck better. He is on the 100 mcg patch. Also, the Mylan don't seem to irritate the skin as badly. (2 replies)

I also use to use these large clear adhesive patches over top of the patch. Just so I did not loosen them up. Also because I swam alot and I did not want to get water in it.
