... hi, I take 20 mg Opana ER and 5 mg Opana (regular) for breakthru. I was on 7/325 percocet prior 4 x day as needed. It did make me a little sleepy at first but I have gotten used to it. Now when I take the breakthru I definitely get a little more tired. How long have you been on it, maybe you just need to give your body time to adjust to the new med? Also, you might... (16 replies)

Time for change

... I have been on percs 7.5 for the past few years with changes in my LA med from time to time to keep tolerance down. Currently on Opana ER 10 mg 2x day with up to 4 percs as needed for BT pain. Norcos not working

For many of us who have had pain for a long period of time it is a natural move to go toward Long Acting (LA) medications such as MS Contin, Kadian, Opana ER, (and a few more I'm forgetting here). Meds like Norco are short acting, and the nice thing about LA meds is that by taking them on schedule all the time you maintain a therapeutic level of the medication in the blood... (4 replies)
