You see, I was taking it and because of tolerance, it didn't work well...and it wore off faster. I don't think there are any long-term effects of discontinuing SSRi's, except maybe the brain's serotonin system would need a period of time to recover itself, so I suppose some depression could result for a period. ... Circus, Interesting. Thanks for the info. The more and more posts I read the more I accept what I have. Now I'm just in the learning which medication to take curve. They started me on Klonopin and then switched to something more long-term with Lexapro. They don't seem to help too much though, and I just started having problems sleeping at night. It'll be nice... ... ntertwined. I guess once you learn that the hard way, the sooner you can come to grips with things and better manage whatever it is you're battling. I won't do Lexapro again though because I worry about the chemicals as you mentioned, and the fact that when you get right down to it, it is modifying your brain. ... (6 replies)
