My doctor didn't even want me to do it at 15 weeks, but wait until I was well into my 16th week to take to the test to lower the odds of a false positive. ... Hi there, I too had brown spotting, it started when I was 5wks 5days, I went straight to the Dr & he did a vaginal u/s. At that point he only saw a sac, no baby.. he told me to take it easy for the next few days & if I saw any red blood to call him immediately.
