... Hi idavis5199, your husband's recovery sounds just like my husband's (51 and I'm 46). He's surgery was on the 10th of Nov. (Tues) and he too had to stay a couple of extra days (home Sat.) because his bowels wouldn't start working and the gas just made his stomach bigger and bigger. Terrible pain for sure. His surgery was robotic also and ended up being a little over 6 hours... (7 replies)
... ng becuase his prostate was unusually small and therefore took the surgeon a while to extract. His hospital stay was longer than expected as well because he had trouble moving his bowels and had excrutiating gas problems that he couldn't let out.... he went home with a catheter that did not come out until the 24th... ...
