My husband found some lady and began emailing her. It progressed into phone conversations. This has been since last November. I found in his cell phone records that the calls between them are many -MANY! To the point of ridiculous -- one day they talked 17 different times. Some calls last over an hour. When first confronted he was very sorry and promised to end it. I told him I would to anything to change for him - I lost weight, got more frequent with sex, became much more attentive to him -- I did anything for him I could. Two months later I find more calls. He broke down and said "I can't get her to stop calling me! She won't leave me alone!" But just looking at the cell phone records indicate more than half the calls are to her, and not from her. So he lied.
She just started hitting *67 to hide her cell ID, and I know its her. I have called her myself and told her to stop talking to my husband or else. She just hangs up on me.
I finally told my husband it was her or me, and if he wanted sex anymore he'd better pack up and go see his woman because he wasn't getting anymore from me. I moved into a spare bedroom and not speaking to him. We haven't spoke in 4 days. I noticed he doesn't take his cell phone to work anymore - I guess he's trying to show me he's not calling her. But he can always get another cell phone so I don't buy it.
Why should I try so hard when he keeps this up? I'm at the point where I don't care anymore, and am tempted to go out and cheat on him.

I don't know if this is a mid-life crisis or what. He insists she is just a friend and its nothing. He is 55 and I am 50. We've been married 14 years. Up till this, our marriage was great. I love him, but I'm not sure he loves me if he keeps talking to this "friend". Advice please!
