... If you do decide to switch to chelated magnesium or citrate, you won't need a high dose because more of that form is absorbed. (I believe 200-400mg max per day is safe). TOO much mag can be toxic to the body, so dont't over-do it. (14 replies)
... You're welcome. I am surprised the oxide form works for you, but I guess everyone's body absorbs things differently. Therefore, since the oxide form is cheaper anyway and works for you, I wouldn't change a thing. ... (14 replies)
... Keep in mind that Magnesium Oxide hardly absorbs in your body, therefore its main purpose is a laxative. To control nerve spasms and relax the muscles, you need to take magnesium in citrate or chelated form. Unfortunately, these forms are more expensive and harder to find. Also, there has been some research that suggests the B Vitamins may aggravate symptoms because they are a... (14 replies)

... Yes, bio-available iron. I use "Easy Iron." It has to be taken when you are having an attack and on an empty stomach preferably. Iron is to RLS what Advil is to muscle cramps and Benadryl is to allergies. But there's no point taking these things in the morning when your allergy or cramps or RLS occur at night. There's a very long and confusing reason for doing this. It... (1 replies)

It's like I can never be comfortable with myself or be calm. I know exactly what you mean. You just wish that you were more calm, cool and collective, but instead you come off as an overly anxious... So just look up RLS Foundation in google, they are the experts in this field and... (2 replies)
... A few months ago, I started noticing everytime I laid down or tried to rest, my legs always felt like they needed to stretch or get up and walk around. Then it started to go to my feet, arms, back and neck. For the past month now I have been having problems going to sleep because I'm twisting and turning while having to tried and stretch my body. It only gets better when I get... (2 replies)
... While I've had this problem to some extent as long as I can remember, I has gotten a lot worse recently. (Only coinciding thing I can think of is it started when I began eating "better" foods, and eliminating as much junk, salt, and simple sugars as possible.) The best word I came across for it is "fasciculation" (fascics for short) ... sort of a small spasm or twitching. ... (7 replies)
... Judy - I hope this simple fix works for you as well as it has for me. I still get occasional very mild bouts but nothing like I endured before the magnesium was added to my daily diet. I cannot say that I have had any itchy skin other than typical winter dry skin on hands and legs. Let me know if the magnesium helps you. Good luck! (14 replies)
