1. Draw on the OPPOSITE side of the RSd.
2. Have them use a pediatric needle (smaller, less invasive)
3. Ask for the most experienced nurse there to perform the procedure, simply explain that due to RSD the blood vessels have a tendency to collapse and/or move around.... (7 replies)
I just joined this board and I'm not sure if you've found a doctor yet or not. I live in North Carolina, got tarsal tunnel in 2010, had surgery and then got RSD, also in my foot/ankle. I'm 27 and never actually injured myself. Anyway I've been to a TON of doctors here and finally found some really great ones. I'm not better yet, but that's me, my doctors are amazing... (5 replies)

There is an excellent article in the new RSDSA Review periodical that came out today regarding RSD and children titled "Hope for Children with CRPS: The Mayo Family Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Center (PPRC)." It is located on the Waltham, Mass campus of Children's Hospital Boston.
The RSDSA has an excellent web site with some great research articles.

Some doctors I swear. lol So what since your daughter is 13 she's to young to hurt,it has to be some sort of mental stress,or something wrong in that manner. I would be grilling the doctor about what all he has seen and make sure he's not in it just for the nerve block money.
