... No offense but people that suggest melatonin have never truly dealt with chronic insomnia. It may help the person who's sleep patterns are slightly off but does absolutely nothing from chronic cases. It's like eating a Tictac before bed. I know because I suffer with it too and ambien has very little affect on me. I'm lucky to get 3 hours of sleep at night. (3 replies)

... t giving any advice I would only share that being careful with the Prozac is a very good idea. Whether or not the Prozac is adding to your insomnia I cannot say, as I have never taken this specific med. I do know that slowing tapering down off any antidepressant is the safest way to go.
