... he doctor, tell him what you are feeling. Thats what he is there for. The Holtor Monitor should help determine how your heart is beating while sleeping. Peace of mind is underestimated. ... Thanks Beth, I keep telling my GP about me waking up the way I do and he just keeps saying it's anxiety. I don't think I was on BP meds when it started, though I remember it was the week I discovered my blood pressure was up which sent me into panic mode. ... I have been there and done that... a lot. My son would wake me up or my insomnia would keep me up.. I would finally get to sleep only to wake up for an unknown reason.. It turned out my whole family had sleep apnea and we were propagating the problem with our odd schedules. Good sleep hygiene did nothing without our CPAP's. Now we are a happy Darth Vader sounding CPAP... (11 replies)

... also. i've tried everything from natural sleep remedies to prescription medicine and still have no cure. the closest thing to help me was Xanax. it helped put my mind at ease. i told two doctors that the xanax helped but both refused to put me on it saying it was addictive? ... (6 replies)

... I have "racing thoughts", but mine is due to bipolar disorder. Do you have any other symptoms of bipolar (such as mood swings, depressive episodes, etc?). Could be lots of other things too though. Just my 2 cents.:) I probably also have several sleep disorders that have yet to be diagnosed. Finally have an appointment with a specialist after 10 years old sleep issues... (6 replies)
