... c of side effects this med shouldnt be used only for sleep. If you have an accompanying mental condition then the side effect of the med would be sleep. I do suffer from bipolar and have taken it in the past with no side effects so i am not sure what the bad effects would be. ... (6 replies)

... What drug are you saying is a tranquilizer? The Seroquel? Certainly that is true, but it is most commonly used to treat schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder. The original poster is apparently dealing with some pretty serious mental illness. As such, I don't know that a "drug-free" life is really a practical or even a desirable goal.
