A big WHAAAWHOOO on your decision to quit smoking. Congratualations.:blob_fire

The next time you think you are going cave and smoke that cigarette, think about this: There are over 4000 chemicals in cigarettes including cyanide, arsenic, srychnine, formeldehyde, methanol, acetylene, ammonia, acetone. WOW! :dizzy: Any one of these things alone kill people!!!! And they are all in 1 cigarette.

The most dangerous part of cigarette smoke is carbon monoxide. When you smoke the carbon monoxide prevents your organs (such as heart and brain) from getting the oxygen it needs.

Have you heard about the cigarette straws? You take a straw and cut it to the length of a cigarette, then you stuff if with just enough cotton to get a good draw on it, like you would your cigarette. You make up a bunch of these and leave them all over the place. In each room, in the car, in your purse, outside. When the urge to smoke hits, you grab one of these instead of a cigarette.:)

Cinnamon sticks, sunflower seeds, hard sugerless candy, celery or carrot sticks also help some people.

You just do whatever you need to do to NOT smoke that cigarette. Each time you cave and smoke makes it that much harder. You have got to want to quit smoking more than you want that cigarette before you quit for good.

Good Luck to you and your husband!!
