... Yes sir, it's called insomnia. It's a nicotine withdrawal symptom. It'll go away with time. However if it becomes too much for you, I know of others on this board (from way back when) who actually cut back on the Chantix to 1MG in the morning and 1/2 MG at night. Some found that if they took the pill at 5:00pm then the side effects passed by bed time. Now I do not know... (30 replies)

I tried Wellbutrin as well, but those were in my drinking days before I realized it lowers your alcohol tolerance so I was blacking out a lot. ... Monger, Congratulation... It's not easy but I will tell you the Chantix will help and as time goes by (you may not believe it now ) the urges do become less and less. I thought coffee was going to be my big trigger but I found if I brought up my routine and drank it somewhere else it was ok. I now drink it at the kitchen table and post.
