... When I quit I did it cold turkey and I felt like a truck ran me over and backed up several times to make sure it did the job right . I started to feel better about three months into the quit. I suddenly didn't feel so exhausted and that foggy feeling started to lift. It sounds like your doing everything right just hang in there your almost there. Keep up the great work (1 replies)

... drs i dont know what happend as i was fine before i stopped smoking after i stopped i got so ill i could barley do anthing when i went for my diabetic check low thyroid came back but i looked on the internet and there seems to be a link between smoking and the thyroid (4 replies)

... To the best of my knowledge, cold turkey withdrawal symptoms can last at least a month with cravings gradually reducing for up to a year. Surely coming off Chantix completely at a very early stage is asking for trouble. My advice is to reduce the dose if side effects are a problem. ... hi i am of the smoking 1 month 1 week 1 day do the withdrawals ever go away right now the latest one is a sore throat since i stopped i have an underactive thyrois as most of you will probably know a bad cough sore throat and put on 2 and a half stone i am trying hard to keep of them but i was never ill till i gave up anyone else have these problems (8 replies)

... well hopetofeelwell your allowed to grouch its not easy to stop smoking and you dont get cancer from groutching so i have not been to well when i stopped for 9 weeks i felt awful but i have just found out i have a problem with my thyroid what we have to realize smoking is an addiction and its the nature of the addiction that makes us feel ill when we are actualy getting...
