I started to notice my foot was itchy and felt like it was on fire under the cast. When my doctor took off the cast it was horrible. Blistered, red, oozing, itchy. Looked and felt like... ... I am someone who in the first 35 years of my life never had the slightest allergic reaction to anything, food or drug or makeup. But in 2006, I had arthroscopic knee surgery and had the exact same reaction noted by others above (severe itching, raised red weeping rash like poison ivy near the incision site) that lasted a long time. It was unbearable and painful to have and I... (11 replies)

First, I'd like to thank all the people who have posted their experiences on these boards. I gathered more information here on how to prepare for my surgery than from anywhere or anyone else.

... Hi captnanny!,
Sorry I haven't been on the computer in awhile. I saw my dr. yesterday for my 4 week post-op appt. I asked him about PT -- he said if I felt I needed it they would of course schedule it for me - but for someone my age (he called me young! I am 42) they don't automatically send you to PT. It seems like every Dr. is so different in what they think is... (7 replies)
