now have had cervical facet joint injections - no help in providing relief via cortisone or as a diagnosis! Still waiting for EMG - should be in by end of year (quite a waiting list here in Canada!) -

Ask your doctor about starting on lyrica its not a narcotic and it does help with pain that can be caused from nerves and since your spinal cord is likely the cause of your pain i would atleast ask and give it a try to see if it is good for you. ... Lower back problems are not uncommon in people with C-Spine issues. Generally the root cause is DDD. I had my lower back go out about 3 months before I had surgery on my neck. It actually got better after my neck surgery. I think it might be that when we have neck pain, our posture changes to compensate, and puts stress on the lower back.
