... Well, here's the thing, you already have nodules on both sides, now if you don't get the whole thing removed, you will have to start watching and getting biopsies on any that grow suddenly. So this will be something, even if your other one is benign, that will be a constant issue. I'm guessing your thyroid is very sticky, enlarged, and disease, and getting the whole thing out...
