... I don't remember having a bump in the incision area. Hopefully, that will go away soon. I believe that massaging that particular area may help soften up that bump, and it will disappear. When do you see your doctor again? (10 replies)

... Ask your dr about this... But when my DD had cleft lip surgery 13 years ago we were told to massage her scar daily with some type of ointment/lotion. They theory was to keep it pliable. We were told also to keep her out of the sun to to at least use sunblock. (10 replies)

Its so hard to write everything down on paper though, and how do you talk to people { like at the grocery store} or other places, carry a pad of paper around? ... It is easy to get yourself worked up before any surgery - so don't apologize for feeling that way. I layed awake the whole night before "trying not to freak out". But you will be fine - I am sure of that. My surgeon put stitches on the inside and then glued the outside and put steristrips on - that you let fall off on their own - Had my surgery March 29 - can't even hardly... (4 replies)
