... The FT3 level in the US is the last test shared on the initital post: triiodothyronine, free, serum.....and the level would be too low for everyone and so would your FT4 level. (T4, free, direct) You really need to be on some form of thyroid hormone replacement....and taking iodine is not a good idea for the reasons already shared. (4 replies)

... If you didn't have any signs or symptoms of being overmedicated, and if you felt well on the dose you were taking, then it should not have been reduced. What matters are your levels of FT4 and FT3 . Your FT4 is well within safe range; your FT3 is lowish and could drop even lower with a dose reduction. That wouldn't be good. Bottom line is... Many see a positive ANA test and just think rheumatoid arthritis. No more no less.
