... No, I am seeing Dr. Insolera, in Wisconsin....it's still a haul for me though. My friend Rose is seeing Dr. Rojas...I'm sure you've read her posts. I also have another friend who is seeing Dr. Doug Chase, in Ca. , and he is also doing very well. They are both NM. My doctor knows Dr. Rojas though personally. They belong to the same associations. ... Most dental insurances offer very little TMJD coverage, if any. Try using MPD as your diagnosis (Myofascial Pain Dysfunction) as your medical insurance should cover it since it is a medical condition. (9 replies)
... Dear Chase, A sliding scale is when a doctor has a set of fees, not just one fee. They look at how much money someone makes and then decide how much they will pay. ... Dear Chase, I would steer away from Dr. Stack. If I were you I would call a dental school and get into one of their TMJ doctors. Dental schools have clinics where they charge you on a sliding scale. The three schools in your area are, Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Howard University in Washington DC and the University of Maryland... (9 replies)

... hI---sorry to hear that you are in pain. About ins., most health ins. packages exclude tmj treatments, mine does. I have to pay out of pocket for everything. I have been in treatment since Aug. of 09', and if I had to estimate what I've paid out, I'd say it would be close to 4000. 00. I have just put everything on credit and pay monthly.
