... ive had tmj for a number of years i got a slplint called splinteck which got rid of all the pain i then had braces to sort out my crooked teeth at the end of the braces i noticed i was grinding my teeth again i noticed my jaw felt stiff i put the splint in to see if it would and all the pain came back ii put heat on it and tried to streched it a little then i got all this... ... I know how frustrating this is but don't give up - you need to just keep searching until you find the right dr. It can take several consults and a lot of referrrals and searching web sites, etc. before you will find one that will take you seriously and has enough knowledge and experience to correctly diagnosis or dertmine the nature of your problem and how to treat and correct... Hypermobility

... I think that I have a hypermobility issue with my jaw. My jaw feels loose and I can feel the disks move all around in my joint and that is what is making my jaw pop out of place. I can't answer your questions but I know what you are talking about - the left side of my lower jaw feels like it has sank or is lower than the right - I believe it has something to do with the joint position or the condyle not moving correctly.
