... I'm in a terrible state right now. For months I've dealt with an off-balance feeling that may be caused by TMJD (TMJ). I've visited ENTs, a neurologist and a dentist. I had an MRI done of the brain and arteries which were negative/normal. A Jaw CT scan revealed that the left side joint in my jaw looked arthritic which may be causing the dizziness. ... I have extreme dizziness and last year I was diagnosed with TMJ, but I never followed up with braces to straighten the jaw. All I do is wear my splint at night. I'm very dizzy (more of an off balance feeling) during the day and have pain in my upper teeth and near my temples & ears. Did her orthodontist say the dizziness could be coming from the tmj? ... I've tried everything = given the severity of my symptoms and my lack of quality of life, this now why I'm down to bi lateral joint replacement. As for my neck I've been getting trigger point injections but they don't last, will probably after to try botox which scares me because of the risks involved and I don't know if it will help.
