... Hi Mel, I would suggest being very cautious with regards to surgery. Less invasive procedures are far more preferable. Have you tried a splint on the lower teeth? If so does this relieve symptoms and prevent locking and pain? Also, please ensure that the surgeon in question actually knows what they are doing.
