... Hi Mel, I would suggest being very cautious with regards to surgery. Less invasive procedures are far more preferable. Have you tried a splint on the lower teeth? If so does this relieve symptoms and prevent locking and pain? Also, please ensure that the surgeon in question actually knows what they are doing. Stuck jaw

Jaw locks
