... It's actually a more solid feeling and the area protrudes as you mention. If I can work my neck, shoulder blades sometimes the solid area relaxes instantly. There is also a "puffiness" to the whole area which I believe is fluid retention. Sometimes this puffiness is more obvious and other days seems to be almost gone but it always returns. Facial swelling?

For about a year on and off I have suffered with facial pain, first in my lower jaw under my molar teeth and more recently in my upper jaw - all only on one side.
