... YOur bite can shift - for any number of reasons - muscular, inflammation; degerentive changes in the joint. I would go back to your dentist again and ask him to reevaluate your bite - that's the only way to tell whether your bite is truly improving. (1 replies)

He has 2 options to this problem. A night guard and a day guard or braces. I would like to get braces, but would it work? ... (3 replies)

... Trust your instincts - from you've you told me it doesn't sound like they have a lot of experience with TMJ. TMJ is extremely complicated - while PTs may get some general training, my limited experience is that you really have to find a PT that specializes in it to get results and this can be hard - because its not the typical injury or problem that PTs routinely treat. ...
