My age: 41 - I had to go to my OB/GYN because I had abnormal bleeding which they sent me for a pelvic sonogram and transvaginal and found out that my uterus lining was thick – not sure of the measurement. Yes, my doctor wanted to rule out the nasty “C” word so they performed a biopsy (crap that hurt like hell), I had spotting afterwards which is to be expected. Biopsy came... (6 replies)

I recently had the same procedure as you (camera investigation because of bleeding 3 years after last period) I was found to have a polyp and thickened uterus wall, biopsies were taken and arrangements made for me to have an operation to remove the polyp and D&C which removes the womb lining. Ps do some net seaches on this how common it is. i had cysts in the ovaries and cervic and the hyperplasia as it is called and the fibroids. had pain off and on but not that bad. many women have this but have no problems. you felt the UIT pressure because of the enlarged uterus. everthing is pushing down on your bladder. i can stand up easier with all that stuff washed out... ... C is just to clean out the excess lining. They will send the lining to pathology to see what it contains. I would think that your doctor is thinking it may be caused by the excess estrogen you maybe were producing with the IUD. ... (25 replies)
