Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

Acid Reflux / GERD Board Index

I have been battling lpr symtoms for about 9 months. Have been on a ppi and the symptoms have greatly reduced. The only one that continues to be the biggest concern is this constant acidic mucous that comes into my mouth. I still have some Throat mucous but the major concern is the mouth. This has caused a lot of teeth sensitivity. I am fearful it is stripping the enamel from my teeth and I can not get it to stop. Has anyone else had this problem. What did you do to resolve it? The mouth mucous is decreasing but I'm concerned not before my teeth are completely ruined.
You might try to use a toothpaste with novamin to strengthen and repair the enamel. Their are mouthwashes with calcium, as well.
Roslyn, thank you for your reply. I had never heard of novamin but have now read about it and just now ordered sensadyne toothpaste from the UK that has that ingredient. I look forward to receiving and starting to use it. Again thank you for the info. You know it is amazing how I can get better Info on these healthboards than from doctors often times.
