Acid Reflux / GERD Board Index

I'm posting this in here because this is the most likely diagnosis of my issue...I think! Lol
My problem started a few months ago. I was drinking a soda and I thought I took too large of a sip because it started to burn going down. Then I got this intense sharp pain over the entire left side of my torso. The pain was so bad, I almost passed out. And I''ve gone through 31 hours of labor. Labor didn''t touch this pain. It felt electric. I can''t describe it. Then I started to notice my left rib cage, on my back, I started getting this sensation or awareness that something was there. Like a mass or lump. I can''t feel the lump or mass, but like i said it''s more like an awareness that something solid is in there. Or at least that''s how it feels. I would mostly notice it when lying on my left side, like when I''m on the floor playing with my son. Not so much in bed because the bed is soft and it cushions my side. I also noticed when I would lie on my right side, and my son would crawl to me and pull himself up on me, when he touched that area of my ribs, it was tender. I wouldn''t call it painful, but it was uncomfortable enough for me to move his hand off my side. Now for the past few days, I''ve started to get some pain in that same area and it radiates to the front and sometimes up into my shoulder blade. I really have no other symptoms. I've always had IBS so odd stomach issues are not unusual for me. But this is something different that I've never felt. It's not my lungs. And the reason I think it's my stomach is because recently when I eat something cold I get pain in the spot on my back where I've been experiencing these sensations. It''s like a brain freeze in my back. It feels like when you run and get a "stitch in your side", like a Charlie horse. I went to the dr today and she said it's probably costrochondritis since its tender when I touch the area. When I asked what could cause the pain when I eat or drink something cold. She said it might just be a red herring. But she's sending me for an upper GI to rule out reflux. Anyone ever experience the cold food thing?? Any insight on what this could be?
I have the exact thing happen to me sometimes with cold food or if I eat something too fast. The pain is in my back and it makes me twist, turn and bend over to get rid of the cramp. I usually have to drink water to make it go away.
