Acid Reflux / GERD Board Index

Hey all,

I posted this question on the Gall Bladder forum, but the participants suggested I have an acid reflux problem instead. I was hoping for advice moving forward.

I'm 24 years old and having problems with my digestive system. I'm skinny and healthy otherwise. I had an ultrasound, HIDA scan, and upper endoscopy.
The endoscopy showed that I was fine, the ultrasound the same, but the HIDA scan came out only the lower end, showing my gall bladder was functioning at 38%.

Still, every day, I have the urge to throw up acid from my stomach. This is especially the case when I wake up. Depending on the food I eat, I also have this feeling. The amount I vomit is very small, and it usually happens 3-8 times per day. When I wake up in the morning, I drink a glass of water just so that I can vomit it out the acid.

The daily regurgitation is really affecting my ability to work.

Does anyone know if there are possibly other causes of my vomitting that I should look into? Does anyone have advice on moving forward?

I have been using over the counter medicines. I was using Omeprazole, then I moved to Famotidine. The Famotidine seemed to work great the first two days, and I felt no urge to regurgitate. But it doesn't seem to be working anymore. I'm taking these medications on my own volition.

I can't give you answers because I am Not a doctor - I was told I have Acid Reflex after going to three doctors for nausea. After googling hours of information on this subject, I decided on Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar - in Minutes it completly takes away all nausea. Research it and if you feel it is for you,, try it.
Hi Ridicter, I am not a doctor, but thinking you might try Lecithin, this helps in the digestion of fats and might help if your gallbladder is functioning at only 38%.
