Bravo procedure
Jul 11, 2013
Dear All,

My gastro recommended me to undergo a procedure called Bravo. I am a little hesitant to have it because I have some breathing problems.

BUT, my stomach has been giving me so much discomforts. Every time I eat, I fill very full, bloated, pain in the middle of my chest. I have problems breathing because I have mild COPD and MAC. My pulmo said that my MAC is stable and my COPD is mild that I should not feel so much shortness of breath. I don't know if my stomach problems contribute to my shortness of breath.

Does BRAVO detect all GERD related problems?

Is there a possibility that my reflux could be "calm" on the day of the procedure and therefore the machine will not detect the acid reflux?

I am so anxious about the whole situation. I want to undergo the Bravo so that once and for all, I know what is causing this discomforts in my stomach but at the same time I'm wary that it might cause more shortness of breath.

I will anticipate your comments. Thank you.
