Acid Reflux / GERD Board Index

I'm new to this forum so forgive me if I post in the wrong place.

I started to get acid reflux and severe abdominal pains in April outof the blue. To cut a long story short I had lots of tests and it was confirmed I had acid reflux and a hiatus hernia.

I had fundoplication surgery 10 days ago. I got over the surgery pretty well I could swallow ok.

My problem is that I think I've still got acid reflux. I've been having an acidy mouth, chest pains and warmth in the throat.

The day after my surgery when I suggested to my surgeon that I feel like I have acid reflux he said "I can assure you that you don't".

It's still early days I know but some people seem to get good results straightaway. Do I need to give it more time for the wrap to work and could all these symptoms just be because of swelling? Could the wrap have slipped or the hernia come back?

Any ideas from people who've had this procedure would be appreciated.
