... ed called Gaviscon. He told me it was a thicker version of mylanta when chewed that would really put a protective foam in the areas that would be affected in my esophagus and it DID help. So perhaps try that until you can get back into the doctor!! ... (5 replies)

... Hi ,i had the same thing happen to me,the pain in my back stayed for a good 2 months but is a lot better now,its your esophagus that has become inflammed,it takes ages to heal im afraid.Try to avoid any hard crunchy foods and anything too acidic like orange juice for a while. ... (8 replies)
