... Excess phlegm in the throat is a very common symptom of LPR (along with a chronic cough or chronic throat clearing, hoarseness and a "lump in the throat" feeling). ... Mrspinkrat, I believe you have several of the classic signs of acid reflux. First, the bitter acidic taste; second, excess phlegm in the throat absent any other obvious causes; and third, a major flare up of symptoms after eating spicy, fattening foods. Yes, I have gerd and you can have some or just one symptom, and it can be ongoing for a while. Sorry to hear about this. ... (9 replies)
... Hi Guys. read my threads on LPR on this forum. You can do a search at the top of the page and find them. I thin one is called "LPR: Went to a Specialist" and there was another too.
