... My doctors wouldn't even give me clonazepam on my worst of anxiety attacks. It's an anxiety medication but can also treat spasms but there are specific medications that do this when it is gastrointestinal related, have you ever tried the anti-spasmotic you put under the tounge & let disolve, Levsin, it's faster acting. You might want to ask your doctor about it & if they can... (46 replies)

... Yea it's Phenergan, it's a nausea medication. It's one that people like to mis-use to get high so maybe why the doctor brushed it off, they would not have to worry about such an issue though prescribing a suppository, & they work better anyways. Well, I don't know why Clonazepam would stop the nausea. Unless the pain in your throat would be causing the nausea. People can... (46 replies)

... Hi Neptunian, I still regularly visit this site. I just don't have a lot new to offer up much of the time. I've posted versions of the same basic advice many times over the years. I do try to share when I see new members with similar experiences though. I was originally diagnosed with GERD. I've since had LPR confirmed. I really have both since with the GERD I get... ... Wow its great to read your story because I felt like I was going crazy. I began taking PPI's about 4-5 yrs ago when I was prescribed Nexium 80mg for acid reflux, by an ENT I saw. Looking back I should have started with H2 Blockers rather than go straight to the strong stuff that have these long term use problems. Every PPI gave me side effects so they kept switching them on... (5 replies)
... Hey MountainReader. I have a few questions for you, if you don't mind. I believe, that I am suffering from LPR reflux for the last 5 years have not gotten it officially diagnosed. I'm only 22 years old. I had an endoscopy and it came back normal. The ENT I went to didn't really do any testing and just simply concluded I had acid reflux and put me on Prilosec. Okay so my... ... I've been on all PPI's over the course of my battle with reflux. Prilosec, Protonix, Prevacid, Nexium, Aciphex, Zegrid, and Kapidex. My time on each of these was a minumum of one month and up to 4 years. I agree that it is a very individual thing in response to any of the PPI's. I didn't find a lot of difference between most of them. Some worked a bit better than... (10 replies)
... So, can anyone else throw in their 2 cents? Is it normal to be on Kapidex TWICE a day, and still feel the lump-in-the-throat symptoms? Do you think maybe this isn't acid at all? What else can I do, eat, take to help? What else can be causing just the symptom of nausea or lump in throat feeling? Has anyone ever done the Bravo pH test, is it dangerous/uncomfortable at... ... I've had constant chronic GERD for 12+ years. Was on Prilosec for 10 years and it worked great but earlier this year it stopped controlling symptoms. Since then have tried max doses of Protonix, Prevacid, and now Dexilant (used to be Kapidex). Heartburn symptoms (daily burning in chest/throat, chest/back pains) remain. Endoscopy from 6 mos. ago came up basically normal. ... (2 replies)
