... First off, ENT treats LPR, GI treats GERD. I am not sure why your doc told you had to see a GI for LPR. I guess technically they both can treat it, but since LPR involves the delicate larynx, that is more of an ENT specialty. ... (8 replies)

... Hi Cecil05, I know what I have...it is LPR..the symptoms can vary and some you will have and some you will not. The first time I had it was 5 yrs ago and it was PND, hoarseness and severe coughing. Only get reflux pain occ. But that is not common in LPR..it is silent and that is what makes is dangerous. ...
