... I too have both. I've been a bruxer for years, but didn't develop the TMJD symptoms until after my Nissen Fundoplication. My orthodontist who is treating my TMJD feels strongly that the TMJD was probably triggered when they inserted the breathing tube during surgery. I haven't heard of a direct connection, but I do know that both can be prime symptoms of sleep... (3 replies)

... wish i could answer your question but i'm on the same boat with you, no idea what to do, ppi's don't work for me, i also have red eyes but i never thought of it as an LPR symptom, im not sure but it could be a side effect from the ppi's, i sleep on an 8 inch incline but still wake up with an acidic taste congested nose and hoarse voice... ... Hi Legaleagle, I had the Nissen Fundoplication back in June, it's not the magic cure for our problem, but it certainly helps. (about 50% better). LPR is just the trigger for the sinus issues (PND) which in turn is only the food for the main problem: "Anaerobic Bacteria in the tongue and throat"(Fusobacterium, Veillonella, T.denticola, P. gingivalis, Bacteroides and...
