... Burping, Chest pain/discomfort and shortness of breath can relate to Acid Reflux and also a Hiatal Hernia. These symptoms can also relate to H.Pylori or an Ulcer . I have had an Ulcer and H.Pylori also have Hiatal- Hernia and suffer from the same symptoms. Strangely I dont suffer with Heartburn. Another symptom of the above ones are Nausea. ... I feel your pain...It's sad how these doctors are such robots. They don't know what to do, so they just prescribe you a PPI. Nausea is pretty common from this. There would have to be something wrong with you if you didn't feel nauseas from some of the disgusting stuff coming up from your stomach. The only thing I could say is to try to adjust your diet.
