... It could have something to do with taking Pepto-Bismol. I would stop taking it and try something else instead. By now you probably have a good idea what's causing your reflux. You might have eaten too much, too fast or whatever. Maybe something like lots of pizza. Then if you go to bed on a full stomach, that's an ideal situation for getting reflux. I would forget... ... From 40 mg of Nexium, 2 weeks is not really a very long taper. When I had to come off 40 mg Prilosec cold turkey (long story) I had terrible rebound for a solid month. Then it got better.
