Hi Cookiemonster,

I know how you must feel about your acne. I had it so bad when I was a teenager that my face actually hurt all of the time, sometimes I couldn't even see my skin, it was terrible.

I am going to have you do something to see if this works, it will sting and turn your face a whitish color but stinging and color will be gone within 10 minutes, if you don't want to do this then that is fine.

I am now in my 30's and do this all the time and it works wonders.

Take baking soda and hydrogen peroxide and make a paste out of it but not too thick, put it only where your pimples are and rub gently for a minute then let it set for a minute or two, then rinse your face but don't wipe too hard after you do this about a half hour later dab the pimples again with hydrogen peroxide only. Remember to keep your hair out of your face so the oils from your hair do not contact with your face.

Next morning again if your pimples are still bad, just the hydrogen peroxide, Dab after you clean your face. If you wear makeup, try not to use makeup with oils in it, it will break your face out even worse. Actually the best thing is to keep makeup off your face for a couple of days.

I hope this works for you as it has for me. Remember, alot of the medications that doctors give you for acne have peroxide in them, and peroxide is much cheaper, less than $1.00 a bottle and will last a long time. The baking soda helps keep the pimple from swelling and the peroxide keeps the pimple from forming. Don't use the baking soda every time just once or twice on each pimple.

Let me know how this works for you hun,

Grace

Thank you for such a sweet sweet reply :) I am much happier today.. I think the main break out on my forehead was because I just started my period. And also, I've been getting closer to the guy I like, and he's really sweet.. despite any acne I may have on my face.

Anyway - if that regimen with the peroxide and baking soda worked for you then I will definetly try it. But I am going to wait until Friday night, so if anything reacts with my face wrong I have Saturday and Sunday to let it rest up and not wear makeup. Thx so much, I'll let you know how it goes~!
The peroxide idea may be too harsh if you have sensitive skin. Hydrogen peroxide is a strong oxidizer. Hydrogen peroxide kills the healthy skin cells as well as the infection. Plain mild soap such as Cetaphil is the best way to go, otherwise you will irritate your skin and make it worse.
