..The egg yolk mask has REALLY been helping my skin. Actually, I'm almost clear. If I keep it up, I bet I will be 100% pretty soon. *I'm hoping*. It is said that egg yolk contains the same things as Retin A or Accutane does, so really it's just like putting these things on your face. Pretty cool, huh?

~Directions: Grab an egg and crack it. Put the egg yolk (the yellow stuff in the middle) into a bowl. ONLY the egg yolk. Now, take your fingers and smear the yolk on your face. Leave on like a mask for about 15 minutes (or overnight), and then wash off.

It's as easy as that!

In the mornings, my face looks super good! I hope this works for you, and please tell me if you have had any luck with this.

~Erin~
GOOD LUCK!
q-tip~ It's alright. I haven't had any side affects with the egg yolk except for clear skin, lol. I tried Retin-A..did nothing for me at all.lol

Jamie~ no, I've never tried it, but it sounds interesting!~Please post your results with the egg yolk mask, alright?

~Erin~

Theres this Queen Helen masks you get at eckerd, wallgrens etc, theres three: grape mask, egg yolk , and mint julep, I wonder if the egg yolk mask would work or is it not as effective as raw yolk its preety cheap only about 3.00$.

Erin When you said your face is clear do you mean smooth and even toned or just the acne is gone but left with marks.

hi. i heard the egg yolk thing, and i'm wondering if you are serious...??
i've got acne, in between mild and moderate, i'm fed up with medications. i even had a fight with a doctor who gave me wrong and bad medication. anyway, i need to know the effectivness of this egg mask thing. i can't put anything on my face while sleeping. anyway doesn't it stink..?
so i need a couple of replies PLEASE.
what exactly should i do. how long ...
when should i see results..
ps. i don't want my roomates laughing at me..
thanks.
To me the egg yolk mask doesnt really stink, I leave it on for about 15 minutes. It leaves a yellow film on your face and it feels like a real mask like you would buy at the store. The egg yolk helps my zits get much smaller and doesn't make my skin as red. I saw improvements the first night I did it, and hopefully it would help you too. I think everything that the article says is true, and I don't doubt that the egg yolk mask will lead to clear skin. It is clearing me up, and hopefully it will do the same thing for others. Tell me if anyone of you have tried it yet.

~Erin~
GOOD LUCK

Erin,

Your EGG YOLK works!!!!!!
Its the best thing ever tried. I also appllied some on my chest and back and beautiful results. Thank you, thank you...You are my angel

I only get pimples right around my period, but I have to try the egg yolk trick!! Sounds awesome! I have heard about the milk of magnesia mask, it's supposed to make your skin as soft as porcelain. I used it a long time ago, and it works!! But I don't need that yet, maybe when I'm older. My face is smooth enough now. HAHA! But I gotta buy some eggs now!
Have you noticed if the egg yolk mask helps with the stubborn (cystic) pimples to come to a head and go away or do they just dissaper altogether? Also, does it seem to help the red marks from previous acne go away? Sounds Great...Cant wait to get home to try it. I have fresh eggs, I wonder if there is any difference in the fresh or store bought eggs.
Why do people make things complicated just get some eggs from the fridge and smear some on your face and your set.

by the way does it get all cracked up while its on your face(mine does) I tried it last night and my face looks much better and my pores are much tighter.

for the people who want to go more on the natural side instead of all the damn chemicals/products that screwed up my face. Heres a past from a site im gonna give this a try.

"Would you like to know the secret to beautiful Polynesian complexions? Would you believe egg yolks? Just the yolk of a fresh egg, (separate completely from the egg white) and apply to clean skin, (leave it on the face for about 15-20 minutes) then rinse off with lukewarm water. Do this daily for about a month and you will be amazed at how clear your skin will be and how improved the texture of even troublesome "combination" skin becomes. After a month of daily treatments it is recommended that you apply the yolk mask 2-3 times a week and eventually you may taper off to a few times a month, depending on your condition.
You may wonder why or how egg yolks can bring about such a remarkable improvement . . . well, wonder no more. Egg yolks are loaded with Vitamin A and other skin-friendly nutrients! Retin-A, a widely prescribed acne treatment is also loaded with Vitamin A, but guess what? Each egg yolk "treatment" costs you approximately ten cents! And there are zero side effects (provided you're not allergic to eggs).

Another gift from nature to us is lemon! It's a natural astringent and wonderful for cleansing and refreshing the skin. To use, just cut a lemon wedge and rub it all over the face, throat and chest, concentrating on the oily "T" zone (forehead, nose and chin). It helps tighten enlarged pores and many women have reported that it has lightened their freckles and reduced comedones (blackheads) Leave the lemon juice on your skin while you relax for about 20 minutes, then rinse off with cool water. To see optimum results from the lemon treatments, do it several times weekly . . . you and your skin will love how it looks and feels!

Yet another very popular remedy is acidophilus. Available as liquid or capsules, it has been known to be very effective in clearing up acne when taken internally.
NOTE: Be sure to obtain acidophilus that contains live, active cultures. We recommend the liquid form which is found in the refrigerated section of good health food stores. If you are feeling turned off at the prospect of ingesting live, active cultures, rest assured that those in acidophilus are very beneficial to you. They restore and maintain the natural balance of flora and fauna in the digestive tract, promoting the overall good health of the elimination system. A healthy elimination system is absolutely essential to good health and beauty, and acidophilus is a crucial component in its maintenance. (You cannot have a glowing complexion if your intestines are glowing with toxins). Please follow recommended dosage on the label.

Many former acne sufferers have also reported wonderful results from taking a vitamin/mineral supplement that contains Vitamins A, B complex, C, and ZINC. Of course it is considered wise to eliminate junk food from one's diet and to increase consumption of wholesome foods (including raw fruits and vegetables) and plenty of purified drinking water . . . try about 8-10 glasses a day. (This is very important for flushing out toxins and keeping your skin properly hydrated.) Don't worry, you will NOT "float away" . . . you'll be more beautiful than ever!"

anyone know where i can get a multivtamin with the zinc, vitamin A, b-complex.

Dillard~ I don't really have cystic acne, but when I do have a larger zit they go down fast and then dissapear altogether. I had some small ones on my forehead that completly dissapeared within 2 nights. Also, Yes, my red marks are going away 2.

StillMatic~ Yes, it does crack on my face too..lol it gets kind of annoying! Thats a great article about the egg yolk and lemon :)

~Erin~
I've also tried using an egg yolk mask to control my acne. I haven't done it in a while, though. It's a bit of a pain. It's gooey and sticky and just plain, flat-out uncomfortable. But I really think it helped my complexion. It helped control whiteheads and smaller pimples, but not cysts, which I get occasionally. What I liked the most about doing egg yolk masks is that they temporarily controlled the oil. My skin would feel soft and smooth and evened out. After a while, it seemed to help out with the red marks, too.
Egg white is a wonderful face mask. If you can bear the smell, apply it to your face for about 15 minutes before washing it off. The white is rich in Vitamin A that is magic for your skin.

Egg white also doubles up as an overnight remedy if applied directly on the pimple.

Egg yolk also makes a good mask. Take one beaten egg yolk and apply it to the face with a cotton ball. Let it dry for 15 minutes and then rinse with cool water. The protein and fatty acids in egg yolk replenish your skin.

Clogged pores are often a direct cause of pimples and acne. Oranges and lemons (any citrus fruit) work as great natural exfoliates to remove dead skin and open pores. Using a cotton ball, apply lemon juice on your face. Let it dry for about 10 minutes and then wash away. Your skin should sting a little. But if your face is very sensitive, then dab diluted juice onto your face.

DepressedAngel~ I use the mask everynight before bed! After I wash it off I apply moisterizer so it doesn't make my skin dry. I am prone to drying out too and I hate applying makeup when this happens. Actually my skin isn't as dry anymore since I started the egg yolk :) I will keep you posted.

qtip-yea I've heard that before but I've never tried it, I will soon though. Thanks :)

~Erin~
I've used the egg mask the past two nights. I must say that my skin has looked better in the morning. My pores seem smaller and my skin looks less red. I'll keep doing it to see if blemishes go away and better yet don't come back! Thanks, Erin, for posting this remedy!
I dont know if im wrong but i heard that egg white is good for ur skin.......or am i getting this mixed up with egg yolk??

but the egg yolk i must try!

Erin u were saying that ur skin is not as dry as it was before.....r u saying its oily now...is that a good sign for u? im also prone to dry skin which is why i wash my face once a day with little soap.

I was told it was important for our skin to maintain an acidic environment, which is why people have had success with the lemon mask. Are egg yolks and egg whites strong in acidity?
I would think that the water should be enough. If you do it at bedtime, then you would get the benefits of the egg all night, and then wash with a cleanser in the morning. Just a suggestion. I'm certainly not a pro.

What exactly is a lemon mask? Is it just the lemon by itself?

Yea, the egg white is the egg yolk, I think, lol

No, my face isn't oily..and it isn't dry either. I would say its about normal now.

I'm not sure about the acidity :)

Good luck,

Does this egg mask work on blackheads?
Originally posted by Dillard02:
Just wondering what you mean by the egg white is the egg yolk. The egg white is the clear stuff, and the yolk is the yellow. Now I'm really confused. Which one is the best to use? I have been using the yolk part (yellow middle), and have seen some difference but not alot.
Hi ALL,
I have been using Egg mask for about 3 days. I have almost a clear skin.... I didnt use any cleansers or moisturisers during that period of three days trial. Looks like egg yolk cleanses, moisturises and exfl our skin. Whiteheads, blackheads are almost gone.My skin is toned and very smooooth...Thanks to Erins good heart

This is how it was accomplished: Morning- Egg yolk mask for 15 minutes, water wash and set to go. No Make up foundation. Evening- yolk mask for about 25 minutes.

If you cannot live without a foundation, I would recomend liquid foundation by Smash Box
(its gel based with japanese green tes, and ginkgo biloba.Oil-free). When your day its over, you must remove all your make up with a gentle soap or cleanser, and then follow with yolk mask for about 25 min.
I love my new face, and Go Yolks Go..lol
Erin-thanks again....

Hi all,

Here is milk of magnesia mask remedy
Milk of Magnesia
Very nice mask for oily skin. You can apply a thin layer to the skin and leave it on all day. Be sure to use flavorless Milk of Magnesia.

P.S. I have never tried it, but sounds Ok.
Sorry for confusing ya'll with the egg yolk and the egg white thing! LOL, I'm a brunette but I swear sometimes I act so blonde :) (no offense to any blondes!) I'm glad the mask is working for everyone! Good luck to everyone~

~Erin~
hi everyone,

i was just reading all the responses about the use of egg yolk as a mask and i think i'm going to try. although now i am confused about whether i should use the yolk, the white, or both. considering maybe scrambling it first. unless if the 2 put together takes away from the benefits of each as an individual product. anyone know?

anyway, background of my skin in case anyone can relate to the changes: i have oily skin, don't really get a lot of pimples anymore, except on one side of my cheek i only have a major cyst problem. there are little tiny white bumps (about 5 or 6 of them near the same area) under the skin, some erupted, others have not. i have a couple of blemishes going away, but not fast enough, and some red marks and scars.

now i'm thinking, maybe the egg will only help my by making my skin smoother, and clearer, but the cysts will remain.

i will try it anyway, i don't think i have anything to lose. so i will keep u posted.
hey erin!
thanks for the info, i just tried the egg mask' & write about it on 'any sucess with the EGG YOlK MASK' forum by me!! LOL
I would thik that scrambling the whole egg would be good right erin or maybe the egg whites will interfere(sp?)with the yolk.

anyone using the lemon mask it realy helps with the oil, usually my forehead would be greasy as hell but today I was out since 12.00 and my forehead is dry i couldent believe it.

Hey, do you think maybe you could scramble the egg and see how well that works and come back and tell us the effect? You don't have to, I'm just curious to know if it will be better than just using the yolk itself. :)
Thanks for the tip about the lemon. I'm all out :( I will have to get some soon though~!

Erin, or anyone else using the egg yolk mask-- i'm not getting much response from the other egg yolk topics...

i've used the egg yolk mask for about 6 days, tonight will be the 7th night. i'm a little unsure as to whether it's working or not. i have several new pimples- mostly little 'open' (yucky) ones. nothing horrible, but i didn't really get that kind while on the benzoyl peroxide. is this perhaps the 'cleansing of impurities' phase of the mask?

i just keep reading from people on this forum that egg yolk isn't too great for oily skin, so i just want to make sure i'm not doing something terrible to my skin.

i guess i'll just stick it out a while longer...

any response would be much appreciated. :)

Hi! :) Yes, this is the 'cleansing of impurities". I had new open pimples 2. They will go away soon though. My skin used to be soooo oily but ever since I started doing this, it isn't near as oily :) good luck,

~Erin~
wow i have the egg yolk mask on my face right now and it feels amazing! thanks for the post erin!
I also read that egg whites are a great mask. Anyone understand the difference between the yolk and white?

this is a great thread

in about 1 hour i am going to try the egg yolk mask, i can't wait. i have some small pimples and also redness so i guess i'll just use the yellow part and not the egg whites. i will post again soon with results. thanks erin for the thread.
2 questions i have:

Is it okay to apply the egg mask before washing? Or do i need to wash my face before applying?

What does the egg yolk(yellow part) specifically do for the skin? What does the Egg white do for the skin.

Thanks a lot please reply.
You must wash your face before using the egg mask. Leave it on for 15 min and then wash it off. I have read that if you have oily skin use the egg white and if you have dry skin use the egg yolk. I have been doing the egg yolk mask for 7 nights now and my skin has never looked so good. I will continue doing this!!
TO SOMEPERSON:
I don't have acne at all, but I've used this egg yolk mask the past 3 nights and I can't believe the difference! I had about 5 small bumps on my cheek - they're all gone now! And my pores seemed to have shrunk also. And my skin feels so soft and smooth now. I just started using Neutrogena's pore refining cream w/ AHA and Retinol last night too, hope that helps!
Originally posted by Someperson:
has ANYONE HAD SUCCESS WITH THIS EGG TREATEMENT WITH MODERATE ACNE?
ok, i may be answering this a little too soon. but i'm sure you wanted a response, so i thought i'd let you know how i've been doing--

the first two or three nights of the mask the redness went down a lot and i don't think i had any new pimples at all. then there were several little open pimples on my forehead and chin and a couple larger open yuckies on my cheeks ( i tend to break out more on my cheeks). so, now i'm on my 10th day and i have a few little red bumps on my forehead and chin- nothing huge, kind of looks like a little rash or something. according to the people who've been doing this mask this is probably the 'cleaning of impurities phase'. i believe those little ones are starting to go down though and i'm not breaking out at all on my cheeks :) :) :)

i'm afraid i'm going to jinx myself, you know? i've only been doing it for a little over a week so i can't tell for sure, but i think the worse your acne is the longer it takes to see results. just my "theory".

oh yeah, and i tend to have oily skin in case you were wondering.

-- i'll keep doing this and keep you posted on how i'm doing.

cheers

I was wondering what exactly are you doing? Are you using the egg yolk or the egg white, when and for how long?
I tried the egg yolk mask on last night and my skin is considerably less irritated and red. Just a question for all egg yolk users, what do you guys do with the rest of the egg (I only use about 1/2 of the egg yolk every time)?? throw it away or just leave it in the fridge for next day?
I dab a little of the egg white on a few red spots and leave it on overnight(this is after doing the egg yolk mask). I throw the leftover egg away. I use a fresh egg every night.
I am indian.. I learned from my mom that back in India, they used egg yolks as a mask. Thats what they use to clean their face with. I alyz wonder why majority of the indian ppl all have clear skin.
I know it works.. cuz my mom used to use it all the time and I have seen past generation's skin.. They all have great skin!!
I was using Dermaclear (www.dermaclear.com) for 2 weeks and I did not see any improvements at all. Since Ive used the egg yolk for 4 days now, my skin feels alot better. I have two blemishes that have gotten smaller. The acne scars are beginning to fade.. and my skin feels so smooth. Im just so impatient to get rid of the scars!

Also, my mom said that to have a glow on ur face, boil the milk, and use the top layer and apply to face as a moisturizer. I dont think i'll try that, but i have seen others have great results with that method.

Another remedy is to cut the tomato in half and use the inside of it and rub it over the blackheads, and watch it disappear.
Try it, esp on ur nose.. and let me know. Tried it today, and it worked very well.
tomato has some kind of natural acid.. and it wont cause any irritation.

Everybody's skin is different, so it all depends. Esp ur hormones.

So I hope that you all will try to use egg yolk, just apply them on ur face every night for a month and u'll see the difference. Some might see the result right away, but depending on the type of skin you have, results can be within a week.

If you notice... ppl who go out all have clear skin, those who dont are at home.. so u wonder why....

goodluck to all.

those who have negative effects.. you have to wait and be impatient.. some skin are very different. If you eat alot of protein which helps heal wounds as well as clear up scars and bruises, your skin will improve dramatically.

I prefer using the egg yolk only.. but for better benefit, you can add 1/2 tspn of egg whites. Or you can use egg whites mask following the egg yolk mask. also, you may use the whole egg as well. Its just that the egg yolk contains high number of Vitamin A that ur skin needs.

goodluck!
Originally posted by bluetonic:

Yes, definitely, it does work better if you use it twice a day. It also depends on ur skin types as well. But when u cleanse your face with a cleanser, make sure you limit to twice a day before applying egg yolk. For added benefit, i recommend adding baking soda to ur cleanser.

I dont use egg whites alone.. sometimes i add a little to the egg yolk. Egg white can cause breakout.
bluetonic- i've been using the egg yolk mask for about 2 weeks now. it's helping a whole lot with red marks and i'm not getting any big pimples anymore :) but i have several very tiny pimples on my forehead and chin. (before i started using the yolk i broke out mostly on my cheeks and only mildly on my forehead and chin...)

what would you suggest? should i use benzoyl peroxide after the mask (i don't really want to since it really dries out my skin but if that's what it takes...)? or should i start using the yolk twice a day? i figure my acne was probably worse than most of the people using the mask- people with moderate acne are probably scared to try egg yolk, so it might take me a little bit longer than it has for the rest of the yolk-users.

any suggestions would be appreciated. :)
bluetonic-

do you (or anybody else?) know if the egg yolk mask just doesn't work for some people? i've only been using it for two weeks so i'm not saying it's not working or whatever...i'm just wondering how to be sure if it's not working. and is your skin supposed to become totally clear within that month of use or is it supposed to clear completely within a few months?

**i'm not using anything harsh on my skin, just natural glycerine soap in case you were wondering

thanks for your input :)
to erin or bluetonic (or anyone who's been using the egg yolk mask for a while)-

ok, i've been using the mask for about 2 1/2 weeks and it's gradually fading all my spots. my question is: how do you know when to back off and start using it 2/3 times a week/month or whatever. should your skin be totally clear within the first month- what if it isn't? should you do it every day for a bit longer?

just wondering :)
Hi, I am new here. I have the egg yolk mask on as we speak. Is it best to leave the egg out at room temp for a bit because if it's too cold, the pores won't open up enough to make it work? Just asking... Oh, does this help with firming also. And, what moisturizer, firming cream does everyone use and like here....thanks for everything..this is soooo helpful.
i've been using the egg yolk mask for what will be 3 weeks on monday night- i just started using it twice a day. i'm STILL getting little rashy-looking/open pimples. of course, i'm ecstatic that i'm not getting any real big mothers :) but i'm just a little bummed that it's not working as quickly as it did for the rest of you guys. should i just stick with it?

bluetonic- which kind of clinique turnaround cream do you use? there's two kinds on their website and i'm thinking about buying some.

blah.

Yeah i was wondering if the type of eggs you use matter.

Im using Turnaround Cream.. not the total turnaround nor the turnaround lotion. Total turnaround didnt work for me.

My mom is using turnaround cream and its working for her. She started the egg yolk mask tonight. she is developing age spots, and hoping that the mask will help for her skin.
Since my face has cleared up from either having pms or eating too much fish I have used the egg yolk on my face one morning, that night and this morning. The results our UNBELIEVABLE !!!!!! I thought that I would never in my life find something that would control the oiliness on my forehead. But this eggyolk mask is Working and also evening the tone.It seems to be erasing in just a few days 20 years of damage.I am so HAPPY! I think that as long as I use this egg yolk mask twice a day and wash it off afterwards instead of just rinsing that I will eventually have a complexion that I can finally be happy with.I'm not getting any new breakouts since I have been following this routine,
First I wash with Phisoderm, next the egg yolk mask, rinse ,and then wash off with Dr.Bronners soap, and follow up with a light cover of benzoyl peroxide over face to prevent breakouts.I am so glad I found this board.

I do not have acne but I did at a younger age and out of curiousity I tried the egg yolk mask for my scars. I was surprised that the scars dissappear while the mask is on! Unfortunately I find the smell of egg yolks too nauseating to keep on for any length of time. I had to hold a container of potpouri under my nose in order to keep the mask on. After I washed the mask off I got curious and decided to try an egg white mask this time. Once again the scars disappeared but this time with no awful smell on my face. I left the mask on all day (I would occassionaly brush off the shinyness with a paper towel). I even went to church and out to dinner with it on. By that night the tighness had worn off about 50% but when I washed it off my skin looked exactly the way it did before I washed it off! Would anyone else with scarring care to comment on their experience with an egg white mask. I did this last Sunday and will probably try another one sometime later this week.

if you don't mind me asking, what kind of skin/acne do you tend to have? (oily/comb/dry, mild/moderate)
cause the yolk has really helped my moderate acne to become more mild. i'm only washing my face with a natural glycerine soap and i just started putting aloe vera gel on my cheeks a couple days ago. but i'm wondering if following a routine more like yours would help me clear up faster/100%.
bluetonic-

hope i'm not bugging you by asking so many questions ( :p)

i've been doing the egg yolk mask for 3 weeks now- washing with glycerine soap and i just started using the mask twice a day a couple days ago. i'm still getting pimples. they're not big or anything and they're actually smaller than i would get before i started doing the mask, but they're pimples all the same. i'm going to go to the store tomorrow and look for a cleanser that won't irritate (should i get one that's medicated?). should i be doing something else? or should i just leave it alone and wait another week or so and see how my skin is? or maybe am i going to have to use the egg for longer than a month?

also i was wondering what your thoughts on diet and acne were.

thanks very much :)
I have used the egg white also. I use the yolk for a mask, wash it off, then put the egg whites on overnight. My red scarring has improved sooo much. In the morning, I put lemon juice on them after washing my face. I leave it on for about 15 min or so, while drying my hair. Rinse it off with cold water before putting make-up on, and it seems to work really well. I am starting to get happy with my face again.

Has anyone had any luck clearing up red marks using the egg white (not the yolk) mask? I have no existing acne, but I have some mild red scarring (flat smooth scars), and I was wondering if using the egg white mask would work. Thanks.
hey, i've been using the egg yolk mask since june 20. unfortunately i still get break outs. i think my acne would be classified as moderate. i don't get a lot of breakouts at once, but when i do get them i have one-three pimples that are pretty severe, since they are painful, red, and have pus :(. egg yolk seemed to work better for me in the beginning, but i am still continuing the masks since they feel g o o d.

just wanted to let you know that i'm kindof in the same boat as you. i've been using the mask for almost a month, minus a few days. i'm still getting breakouts and the first week i still had some nasty ones. now they're a lot smaller, but pimples nonetheless. i'll probably keep using the mask at least for another month before i decide to use something else cause it is definitely helping, just not as much as i'd like for it too...
hey guys...i want to know how everyone is doing on this egg yolk mask...ive been doing it for a week...leave it on for 15minutes....and i hanvt had any effects as of yet...

well my pores seem smaller but not sure anyway i kinda liked it so i'm going to do it again tonight,it sure made my skin tight.my face feels less oraly than it usually does so maybe with the b5,b-complex and the egg yolk mask i can accomplish something
ok, guys i wanted to let you know how my skin was doing cause everyone seems to be wondering how people using the yolk are clearing up.

i've been doing the mask for about a month (plus a couple days). at first i was doing it every night for about 10/15 minutes and rinsing off. then i started using it twice a day after a couple weeks. i'm such a ding-a-ling. i started using this '100% natural glycerine soap' at the exact same time as the egg mask. lo and behold, when i switched cleansers last saturday night my face starting clearing up nicely. i still have a couple smaller pimples that really aren't noticeable at all unless you're standing right in front of my face and they're easily concealed with a little make up :) i think i'm going to keep doing the mask for a little longer than the recommended month- until i'm sure i'm not breaking out any more.

my skin is naturally oily and before this mask nothing was working (some things would help but the acne was still very persistent and moderate). i haven't tried the egg white but i think i will, as i keep hearing that it helps with oily skin and evening out skin tone.

i just wanted to tell all of you guys that are curious about trying- it's worth it and i'm definitely a believer- actually i just told one of my friends from san francisco about it who was complaining about her mild acne.

so good luck, guys and god bless. :) i'll still keep visiting the boards to lend my support and stuff. :) :) :)
I went off the egg mask for a few days and it seems that all the zits that were fading with the egg mask just came back to the surface again. Also,I have very large pores in my Tzone and I think some of the egg yolk has sunk into them and is stuck there under the skin causing problems.I think I'm just going to wait until SOME day when my face clears up to use the egg yolk as a skin moisturizing mask to rejuvenate my face as I can't use any other moisturizers and I will also keep it off my Tzone.Still waiting for my B5 order to come.
I did the egg yolk mask for 3 weeks. The first 2 weeks were great. My face never felt so good. However, after the 2nd week my face couldn't handle it any more so after 3 weeks I stopped. I have really sensitive skin and so it really starting affecting the natural oils and balance of my face and it just became irritated. I think maybe using the egg yolk mask once or twice a week is good but no more than that.
Erin,
Does the egg yolk mask help with oily skin? You seem to be the authority on this issue. I'm happy that this worked for you. I'm on B5 right now and it hasn't helped much, but I'm sticking with it because I know it has worked for other people. Thanks for sharing your story with all of us. It gives people hope. If people who got clear didn't post on these sites no one would get anywhere. Thanks.
Has anyone else had any success with the egg yolk mask? I didn't because my pores were very large but was wondering if it has helped anyone else?
Just wait a few more days or weeks using the egg yolk mask and you'll see why everyone doesnt do it...
The pores in my my forehead are STILL messed up from doing this egg yolk thing this past summer. It ruined my pores.I never use to break out on my forehead till I did the egg yolk mask. Now I breakout in the same spots that I broke out from the egg mask every month on my forehead.I think it permanently messed up my pores. :(
Hey guys..
Yep I'm the one who posted this topic this past summer. This egg yolk mask DID clear me up for awhile .. but after that is screwed my face up. If you are using it for the first time, please stop. It will only make it worse. When I first posted this topic i was so happy and I didn't realize that it would only end up a mess. I'm still looking for something that works..

~Erin~ :)
Okay so what's the scoop on this? It starts off pretty good and everyone gets good results, -- but then, is this unanimous (?) that after a while, everyone has ended up with worse acne? worse breakouts? worse pores? scarring?

I don't see how egg yolk can cause actual scarring -- scarring occurs with cellular damage...so unless it's causing breakouts that are being picked at, it, in and of itself, would scar you.

As for the buildup -- how about using the egg yolk mask but WASHING it off with soap and water, or using a scrub such as dead sea salt, or sugar, to dislodge any potential hardened clogging within the pores?

There's a LOT that's been said about the benefits of WHITE TABLE SUGAR being used as an exfoliant, and I think there's also some type of chemical reaction that occurs that heals the skin too.

Maybe it isn't a matter of the Bad Egg Yolk Mask, as much as it is finding a more efficient way to clean up AFTER the mask application?

If it worked so well at the front end, there could be more to this!
I had great results from the egg yolk mask and no bad effects.

I used it once a day for 30 days. When dry I rinsed it off
with water or took a shower.

...I guess I should've read the rest of the thread before trying and posting.
Tonight was my first and last time using this egg mask.

Ok, just to be claer on this.

I noticed there were some peopel who were ogint to tryt his, but clean their face using a scrub afterwards, see if that worked.

Did it??? Also, face brushing, does this work at all?

What about a combination of the two? Egg mask, then face brushing, to clean up and/all egg cells?

Anyoen want to try it for me ? :D
I regret posting this last summer. It totally ruined people's faces, i mean, i never meant to do that to anyone because we all know that it helped our faces. Just please don't do this, you will be sorry that you did. Even if you do it for a week and it clears you, you will just be tempted to keep doing it. Save yourself the trouble and don't use the egg yolk mask, please. I already ruined enough faces.. :-/
Yeah I tried the egg yolk 3 times and once at night. Hope it will work for me. I just want to say that I couldn't sleep with that EGG MASK at all and it's better to do it in the morning. Anyways thanx for advice!!!!!!!!!!
Hey I tried that egg yolk 3 times and once at night. Hope it will work for me. I just want to say that I couldn't sleep with that EGG MASK at all, so it's much more better to do it during the day I think. Anyways that idea with egg yolk is great. Thanx a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!
