I read the whole forum where posters are pleased with the cetaphil w/out water regime. However, I wear a lot of makeup during the day (not everyday) but probably once or twice a week. So, I use Clean and Clear Oil-free acne wash. (it's in the purple pump bottle). Is this to harsh of a product to wash with w/out water? Call me crazy but I have noticed that when I don't use water on my face I don't brake out as bad.

Let me get this straight..if I were to use it w/out water I would just rub it into my skin, let it set it minute, and then wipe the excess off with toilet paper?
[QUOTE=GirlHarley]Ok question? My son read this post about using this method and is trying it but what about when he showers? How long do you go without using water on your face?
Thanks..

I am somewhat careful not to run the water over my face in the shower. Then I do the Cetaphil once I get out.
Alright for the mom who asked when her son should apply it I would say a good 10-15 minutes after a shower until face is completely dry. If you're applying it to entire body I guess I would still stick to waiting 10 minutes and then rubbing that stuff into yer chest/back wherever you need it then wiping excess with a dry cloth. Whoever was asking about the Clean and Clear and not washing it off. ceptaphil has purified water in it and says you can use it w/o water on the back of the bottle...I would be wary of not rinsing a product that says rinse afterwards or says nothing about a method of application that doesnt involve water.

In the morning I use citaphil without water, and when I shower at night I use citaphil with water in the shower...

Your son could just choose to avoid water on his face in the shower, and apply citaphil after he gets out. Up to him.
