There are so many stories on this board about people who've had their condition worsen quite a bit, after taking antibiotics (resistance develops).

I'm no doctor, and so this thought could be completely wrong. Has anyone tried to take antibiotics at a "slower" rate? That is, instead of twice per day, take a pill only once every day, or once every 1.5 days. In particular, I'm thinking about Doxycycline 100mg, which was prescribed to me twice per day.

Would it be effective? Would resistance develop slower, or faster? There is no way I'm going to start on Doxy, if there is the potential for a worse outcome after seemingly random times:)

Thanks for any thoughts,
pjlc
its been a week since i stopped taking anti-biotics, ive started getting small whiteheads on my right cheek but im guessing thats because of the sugar that my orange juice contains, luckily i have some left over proactiv that i didnt use while i was on doxy because i didnt need it, hope it doesnt get worse :(
