I have been using Taz Cream in .1% for the past 2 months, (My GYN gave me some free samples). I started using this about the same time as I switched from OTC birth control to Yasmin. I have been using Oil of Olay Deep Cleansing Face Wash for combo/oily skin since then, with Netrogena Pore Refining Cleanser once or twice a week. My pharmacist said to be careful when mixing anything with BP in it with Taz, since it can be very drying, but I think you can pretty much choose what you feel most comfortable with.

Let me tell you, I was scared from all the stories of Yasmin breakouts and peely Taz use! But it was not really like that for me. Taz has actually been very gentle, and only my nose has peeled a little bit. Differin and Retin-A Micro blistered and peeled my skin to a sun dried tomato texture, but Taz was heavenly compared to those, for me. Also, the breakouts I experienced with my first month of Yasmin were no worse, if not kinder, than the range of breakouts I've endured during my past 12 years with acne. So that was something I could easily deal with. I'm about to start my third month on Yasmin, so hopefully it will continue to be positive for me. And I just got my official prescription for Taz, the gel .1% kind ( a switch from the cream because the gel is supposed to be better for oily skin like mine).

So far I am very happy with my results. It has been two months, and these products have been the fastest working I have ever encountered. My skin is not flawless yet, but it is clearer than it has been in soooooo long! I would advise you to stick with it, unless you get the severely dried out reaction I got from Differin & Retin-A, which was horrible. Good luck!
